odds是「勝算，成功的可能性」，通常用在賭博或是比賽的場合。你可以說The odds 
are　high. 來表示「勝算高」。相對的，要說勝算「低」只要將high改成low即可．
even 在這當作動詞使用，是「使相等」的意思，因而even up the odds則可解釋為「扳回劣勢」
